Steelmoth Documentation
Internal documentation for Steelmoth, end to end — the AI assistant system, and the governance layer that keeps the agents building it safe.
Steelmoth is one assistant brain behind the chat and the dashboard, reachable through its channels, with long-term memory and tool integrations — email, reminders, the web and more — running on a hardened two-VPS stack. Because almost all of Steelmoth is itself written by AI coding agents, a second layer — the Operator Authority harness — keeps those agents inside safe limits. This site documents both.

Section titled “Start here”- Overview — what Steelmoth is and how its parts fit together.
- Architecture diagrams — eighteen Mermaid views of the whole system: chat flow, the router, memory, containers, authentication, email, governance, and the key sequences. Each opens full-width with zoom + pan.
- Deep dive — how one request travels the system and every layer it passes through.
The left sidebar has a page for every part: the assistant runtime and its subsystems (chat, memory, Morpheus, mail), the data, security & operations that run them, and the governance harness — the rule books (what’s allowed), the enforcement plane (what makes it hold), and the cross-cutting views.
